Welcome to my home court. I’m Lori, a bestselling author, teacher, speaker, chronic doodler, and sports fan.

I’m best known for my Meghan Rose chapter book series, but I’ve moved on to a new chapter–a clean read young adult sports series. 

Except when is a sports novel NOT a sports novel? When sports is a framework for the story. In addition to my typical humor (can’t keep it out of anything I write!) each book looks at larger social issues. 

Inside the Ten-Foot Line takes place on a volleyball court and deals with loss, priorities, eating disorders, and friendship. This book won a medal in the Illumination Awards for excellence in Christian Fiction, was a finalist for the Director’s Choice at BRMCWC and a semi-finalist for the Carol Awards. 

The second book, Offsides, tackles the world of soccer with a new cast of characters. With age-appropriate sensitivity and hope, the book raises awareness of the growing issue of human trafficking.
