I’m glad you stopped in to visit!

You might be wondering… Wait… I did a Google search for almond milk. How did I end up here? Well, friend, perhaps your subconscious mind brought you to the right place after all. I’m a little bit squirrelly, definitely nuts, and I’m going to milk that for all it’s worth.

Okay, truth. I’m an elementary teacher who loves to write, draw, and play sports. Which means the following:

  • Over the years, I’ve graded roughly 14,801 spelling tests. I may have misplaced a few– the ones with words like coiffure, ergo, plethora, behoove, or cognizant. (Too pretentious.)
  • I love dad jokes. I’m fluent in pun!
  • I accidentally published a bestselling chapter book series and on purpose published over 175 short stories, poems, book contributions, and devotions.
  • I played volleyball for Wheaton College and also competed in track, swimming, softball, and basketball. I enjoy hiking, watching gymnastics, cycling, and laughing. (It should be a sport.)
  • My new MG/YA book Inside the Ten-foot Line is the first book in a series of sports novels for Christian athletes.
